The magnetic mounting plate is designed to hold compatible phones securely during everyday movement. In the original product test, the mount held a 2.6 kg steel block and remained stable during vigorous shaking.

Testing context: The 2.6 kg steel-block demonstration shows magnetic holding strength under the displayed test conditions. It is not a recommended phone load or a guarantee against every impact, angle or outdoor situation.

PackMag S1 is designed primarily for phones, but the magnetic surface may also hold certain small ferromagnetic items such as compatible steel tools or accessories. Holding strength varies by material, shape, contact area and movement.


Secondary Drop Protection


Reinforced Safety Tether for Higher-Motion Use

The reinforced steel-wire spring tether uses stainless steel figure-8 hooks and extends to approximately 1 meter. It adds a secondary connection while still allowing enough reach for calls, messages and quick phone use.

Recommended: Use the safety tether during hiking, running, cycling, climbing, crowded travel or other high-motion situations. The tether reduces risk but does not make the phone loss-proof or theft-proof.

⭕ Included Magnetic Ring Expands Phone-Case Compatibility


Phones with built-in magnetic support and magnetic-compatible cases can attach directly. For a suitable non-magnetic case, the included adhesive magnetic ring can improve the connection.

The included lanyard tab adds an attachment point for the safety tether when the phone or case does not already provide one.

Adhesive curing time: After installing the magnetic ring, wait at least 24 hours before attaching it to the magnetic clip so the adhesive can develop a stronger bond.

The mount includes a 1/4"-20 threaded interface, ARRI-style locating holes and a cold shoe mount. These interfaces make it possible to connect compatible lights, microphones, stabilizers and other accessories.

It can also be paired with compatible 17 mm locating ball heads, pod-style clamps and crab clamps for custom desktop, vehicle, camera or gear-mounting setups.
